Contemporary Dance Performance Piece in 4-channel surround sound
Concussion is a contemporary dance theatre performance. Using elements of dance, theatre, and storytelling, Stacey Horton evokes the experience of coping with and recovering from multiple concussions.
David programmed an interactive system in Max using a variety of MIDI controllers that allowed him to improvise and react to Stacey’s movements, freeing her from traditional music-related constraints. The sounds were comprised of abstracted music and sound design.
